tippman_rambo:
im running a tippman and i find it somewhat hard to compete with the speedballers so i want to find a decent spyder for speedball price range of 200-400
all i want is something that will keep up nothing overly fantsy
JoshPuffyPuff:
Best spyder for speedball. Quick questions do you have compressed air or co2? And do you have a decent hopper? If you have compressed air i'd go with a Spyder vs2 or vs3 depending on your preference.
The only real difference is the spyder vs3 has a rocking trigger frame and the spyder vs2 paintball gun has a stansard style double trigger.
If co2 is your only option a vs1 would be the way to go. Just make sure you have a hopper that can keep up.
tippman_rambo:
rite now for my tippmann im running co2 but i can run anything as far as external hardware for the gun il be upgrading it all hopper tank barrel mayyybee but not likly for a while i mite upgrade the gun its self il have to see
JoshPuffyPuff:
Well if your running c02 and your looking for a speedball spyder the vs1 is a great gun. As long as you have a hopper to keep up.
tippman_rambo:
ok 1 vote spider vs1 painball gun
Coffinstuffer:
Why a spyder? With the release of these new-fangled 08 markers, you can get all kinds of insanely good 06/07 markers insanely cheap now - brand new.
And then there's used; for the same reasons, guns that once went for 1200 are now being sold for beans. You can pick up Karnivors for 300 and A1s for 500 if you know where to look - The Spider VS3 paintball gun is about 300, last time I checked - For the same price or just over it, I'd rather get a massively awesome high-end marker than a good low end.
I'm not ragging on Kingman Spyder or anything, I'm just saying that you're really not getting the best bang for your buck.
paintballjames:
If your looking for a Spyder paintball gun I suggest the VS2. It has the standard double trigger as someone already said. For 400 you can get the Spider VS2 a decent HPA tank and a used Halo or hopper of your choice.

Coffinstuffer has a good point. I don't want to knock Spyders either, but there are a lot of high-end guns that you can grab for your price range. You can always go for an Ion, or even a cheaper Autococker or Timmy. If you're not afraid of used gear, you can find a huge selection of high-end guns that are easy on the wallet.
But if you're into the Spyder brand, you can't go wrong with a VS2 or VS3 paintball gun. Just make sure you go air for those, or any other higher-end gun. It's a big beginning investment, but a lot better in the long run.

Very true about the used- and on-sale high-end markers... i was even thinking of grabbing one cuz of the prices they go for now.
I got a Spyder VS2 paintball gun, and you'll most likely need to get a barrel right away if you wanna play decent with it. Anyone disagree?
