Spider Paintball forum tales

Im clueless

So I played paintball pretty routinely a few years ago with my Spider paintball gun. Haven't played since then and am looking to get back into it. Back when I was playing, I wanted an autococker bad but never got one. Now I see one for sale locally for $150.
My questions are:

  1. Are cockers from back then still good guns these days? Should I just pay a little more for a used ion/pmr?
  2. Is $150 a good deal for the orracle shown in the picture?
  3. Do I HAVE to get an HPA for this gun or will my old CO2 work fine until I get around to getting another tank?

Lower tube "window"

I've been modding my Spider Pilot paintball gun more and more, and I keep on thinking "Man, this upper tube is so modded, but the lower tube is so...plain. So I got to thinking about what I could do without ****ing it up, and I thought of the one place that air doesn't go through on the Spider paintball gun on the lower tube: the back of it, where the spring is. So I'm going to make a "window" so I can see the spring.
I got to lookin more at it, and I realized I could cut quite a bit off, and that there's already the perfect place to cut, right where the words Spider Pilot paintrball gun are.
See right where the "Spider Pilot" is? that's what I wanna cut out, that area that is milled out. I'll probably do it with a dremel and files, but could a CNC mill do this?
My only worry is how much it would cut into the part that joins the upper and lower tube, and how much this might weaken it.
Would the body be able to hold up, with maybe a bit of beating (I play woodsball)? How much might I mess up my marker if dirt gets in there? I clean out my marker after every game and take good care of it, so I don't think I'll be in much trouble, as long as I clean it up quickly.
Now that I think of it, do I even need the part in the back that joins the upper and lower tubes? You can see where that little window area kinda continues on, could I just cut that entire area off? Not even have something seperating that part? I almost wanna do this just for bragging rights, I think I would be the person with the most metal taken off of that area.

New Bee, pleasee HELP!

hey, i have just started to get into paintball. I have recently purchased a Kingman Spider MR1 paintball gun. I looked it up read some reviews on it and it looked like a pretty good gun to start off with. But i hung out with a friend and he had a Avant e99 laying around. So we were messing around with it trying to figure out how it works. It was pretty confusing i must say. Like we would pull the cocking back bolt, but once we pulled the trigger it would close up the hole where the ball comes down from the elbow. I didnt understand how it worked. Will my new Kingman Spider MR1 paintball gun be like that? and if any one can help me figure out how a paintball gun works would be great!
