Q: Hey i'm looking for a first Paintball gun to get into paintball. I dont want an ion cus i dont wanna spend like 163$ plus like 20-30$ for a new feedneck on a gun. Paintball****** on youtube said he doesnt like kingman but likes the Sp vibe. But the spyder vs1 paintball gun is the same price on actionvillage and it shoots way faster. Please tell me what to get. Smart Parts Vibe or Kingman Spyder Vs1 paintball gun.
A1: first off the spyder vs1 paintball gun has a higher rof that doesnt mean it shoots faster on semi, which is pretty much the only mode you'll be using. the vibe is much more durabel than a vs1 paintball marker and i'm pretty sure its a good bit lighter. def. go with the vibe. its also got many upgrade options, but doesnt require as many as a vs1 would
A2: I've owned 2 vs2s and currently own the vibe. The vibe doesnt come with an aftermarket board and has no vision.
from what i see it depends on the amount of cash in your pocket, if you got the $360 dollars to spend upgrading the spyder vs2 paintball gun to perform good with a cp air combo (reg adapter, asa, and reg) and a tadao board go ahead, the air combo is a must because the stock asa/reg is garbage. and the board only has semi and three shot, and most people use ramping for tournaments.
But the vibe is extremely light, reliable, runs on a/s co2 or hpa and is an amazing starter gun. Best one in its price range, only problem is the max rate of fire.
It's alot about whatever catches YOUR eye, how comfotable it sits in your hand, and how much money you have. I dont play anymore so i have the vibe just for some recball, sometimes speedball
A3: i used to have the spyder vs1 paintball marker and i sold it and got a vibe. the vs1 will cost you more, and has the horrible feed-neck. my vibe is still ok in speED AT 11 bps booom thunder close but the vs1 will need new parts and the vibe has a clamping fn and more.

New to paintball- need help paintball gun

"I'm new to the paintballing. I really dont know much about paintball guns or equipment (I'm transitioning from airsoft guns), but I was looking to buy a solid beginner paintball gun. I've been told spyder and tipman are good. I have a medium price range and looking for something with good speed and accuracy. Also any advice on paintball masks, air systems, or barrells would be great thanks. Oh ya, what is a good FPS for an airsoft gun?"
"A Vibe or SP1 would be a good starter paintball gun. They offer some of the best features and brings EP (electro pneumatic) operating design at a very low cost. However though it's kinda hard to make a suggestion without knowing like your exact budget, if you'll be using CO2 or HPA, and what style playing you be doing (i.e. woodsball or speedball)."
"Spyder vs1 paintball gun ($140) is an awesome starter paintball gun. Also for a mask check out the proto switch EL($30) and the empire vents helix ($30). Air systems try and get HPA, but if you can't afford an hpa tank co2 will get the job done."
"If you are a woodsball player get a tippmann 98 custom because it offers good upgrades for that paintball gun.
But if you don't play woodsball go with a Smart Parts Ion which costs like $200 but if you don't have enough money go with Smart Parts Vibe which is like $140. For the Smart Parts ion you don't really need any upgrades, my friend has only stock and his gun owns. And get either a Jt Proflex or Events goggles."
"Eh Tippmann paintball guns have more looks accessories then actual upgrades. And of the few upgrades it has not many are actually worth getting and won't make the paintball gun worth the money. Ions are $165 now and even though they don't need upgrades out of the box a lot of the stock parts are horrid."

Spyder Victor IV Stock Barrel

Looking for Cheap Barrel, Plz Help!!
"I have a Spyder Victor IV and a have a nagging question that I can't really decide. From what I know, the stock barrel is better than most other stock barrels but of course, it is still a stock barrel. It is a nine inch. What I want to know is whether or not it is worth upgrading. I was thinking a 12 in. Dye Proto One Piece for $18 but I'm not sure if its worth it in the first place, or if it is, is that a good barrel for a good price for the paintball gun?"
"If you plan on keeping that paintball gun for a while you're definitely going to need another barrel. I know proto one piece barrels are really good for the price, but try and find a 14" barrel."
"save up for an ion slg, or somthing dont waste any more money on that gun unless you want to, which in that case the best overall barrel to me is the sly(pretty expensive though), i dont know if you wantto have a barrel thats more expensive then your paintball gun"
"I agree. Save up for an slg or even a spyder vs1/vibe. If ur gonna stay with the victor for a while get a proto one piece 14"."
"ya well im gonna stay with the Spyder Victor paintball gun for a bit just b/c im not a huge player and its not too important for me. i've been looking for a proto one piece 14" but I havent found anything for a great price. Does anyone know where I can find one for under $25-30 (i know thats not much, but pb isnt the top thing on my budget right now)
If thats out of the question, are there any other good 14" barrels for under 25-30? I found the UPZ Gladius on ebay for a pretty good price but there werent many reviews so idk how good it really is. Any advice?"
"pmi razzor barrel. I got one for $20."

Parking will be FREE for all attendees as is the entrance to the paintball expo.
So that everyone can do their part in helping San Diegans get back into their feet after the devastating fires, American Red Cross will be accepting financial donations through their booth at the NPPL trade show. There will also be a "Toys for Tots" drop off at the NPPL San Diego trade show for those wanting to make sure all children receive gifts over the upcoming holiday season.
With a San Diego State college football game being held in the stadium Saturday evening December 1st, the NPPL and SDSU will be teaming up to do an intense cross promotion campaign. More information on those efforts will be coming soon.
Sunday night event "after parties" for players and fans are being arranged and hosted by some of the NPPL very own professional players such as Alex Fraige of San Diego Dynasty and Chris Lasoya of Montreal Image. Much more information on those parties and concerts will be posted on http://www.nppl.com/ in the weeks to come.

Spyder VS Series Press Release

For Immediate Release:
Kingman Group
Date: September 25, 2006
We at Kingman Group, known throughout the world for introducing the best selling Spyder paintball markers, are focusing all of our research and development toward the next level 3rd generation Spyder, set to launch October 2, 2006. The NEW VS Series product line will move the Spyder brand toward the future, providing fast, reliable, performance driven paintball markers. We first showed the VS Series markers at the Millennium Cup in Paris, and then at the NPPL paintball events in Boston, and San Diego. The players fortunate enough to witness the VS markers have spoken with anticipation and praise. The overall consensus is a feature packed Spyder that feels amazing in the hands and is easy on the eyes. We feel the value will be overwhelming once we release the VS Series, the future of Spyder paintball markers.
What is the VS Series
For more than two years we have looked for ways to create a paintball marker that captures all the elements of this sport’s futures including looks, rate of fire, efficiency, and feel. We have achieved these goals and will bring to market the NEW VS Series markers, built with 3G technology including a patent pending low pressure, high performance Balance Valve. The Spyder VS2 with Infiniti Trigger and Spyder VS3 with Rocking Trigger will utilize this 3G technology Balance Valve, making the marker operational at 200psi while maintaining incredible speed and ultimate comfort.
Looking for ways to evolve the Spyder product line, the VS Series paintball markers will include features like Break Beam Eyes, Electronic functions with a dual touch switch, a mini C/A regulator with on/off dial, a vertical adapter with low pressure gauge, a 12" two piece micro ported barrel, a low rise adjustable feed neck, and a Delrin bolt with lock cocking knob. The Spyder VS2 will come standard with the VS Infiniti Trigger providing a fluid feel to the marker with a 25 shot per second firing rate. The VS3 will come standard with a VS Rocking Trigger allowing up to 30 shots per second with two contact points for a maximum rate of fire. Both markers will maintain a sleek all Aluminum body style allowing the user to feel connected to the speed, and accuracy of the VS Series.
Knowing that all paintball players are unique, we have created custom dust finish color Body Kits to individualize your VS marker. The custom five piece Body Kits will come available in Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue and will include eye covers, feed neck, low pressure chamber, rubber fore grip, and a striker plug. Also available is the Spyder 14" two piece Aero twist barrel with optional color tips to enhance the look, and accuracy of the VS marker.
The fluid all Aluminum VS Series receiver design protects the internal 3G technology patent pending Balance Valve that allows the marker to operate at 200psi. While keeping state of the art design in mind, we have developed this custom valve that can attribute to the speed, and "never before experienced" feeling you get while shooting the VS Series markers. The 3G technology also incorporates a lightweight striker, softer springs, and an increase in chamber capacity enhancing the low pressure functionality of the VS marker.
We showed the VS markers to the public at the last three pro level paintball events. "There were lines of people wanting to be the first to hold the markers. The response was well received, as we have put our time and dedication into making this marker the future of paintball", says Event Manager Jason Donaldson.
"This is an exciting time for Spyder," says Arthur Chang, CEO of Kingman Group. "We have put forth great efforts to give the paintball player a reliable product with the VS Series marker, which will include never before seen speed, comfort, and efficiency." He continues, "We have always worked hard to maintain our leadership in the paintball industry and the value of Spyder markers will continue to grow as we provide products that are dedicated to the latest technology and future of this sport. We couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming release of our 3rd generation Spyder and the direction in which we are headed."
The all new VS Series line were officially launched October 2, 2006.

Spyder VS Series Markers

The Spyder VS Series has taken an unprecedented step forward in paintball marker performance while still maintaining the simplicity and reliability of the classic Spyder paintball guns design.
By using a light-weight Striker and an all new Delrin bolt construction, Spyder engineers reduced the reciprocating weight of the Spyder VS Series markers internals which increased the stability of the marker during high rates of fire.
Equipped standard with a paintball detection system, the Spyder VS Series Infra-Red break beam eyes check the breach for a paintball before allowing the marker to fire. This system eliminates the chances of "chopping" paintballs.
The utilization of Balance Valve technology in Spyder VS2 and Spyder VS3 paintball markers has profoundly increased the performance of the 3rd Generation "3G" Spyder markers. These markers use low pressure to reduce recoil, conserve air, and increase consistency in order to attain new levels of elevated performance.
Spyder technology now allows the new Spyder VS1 paintball marker to function at high rates of fire using either CO2 or Compressed Air.
