SPLATXD paintball magazine Issue #1 is LIVE and 100% FREE

The wait is finally over. After two painstaking months of filming, designing and revamping, the digital paintball media revolution has finally arrived, SPLAT XD Issue 1 is ready.

Splatxd free digital paintball magazine

SPLATXD, the largest and most expansive digital paintball content provider, has put together a overwhelming amount of video, photography and editorial content into our debut issue, and best of all, its all 100% free to you.

Here's a breakdown of the digital madness that awaits, which includes 118 pages and more video footage than your favorite paintball DVD's.

Pro-School: Brandon Short - The Ironmen front player sits down for a in-depth interview, custom photo-shoot, and on-field video shoot where he covers the secrets and training behind one of the best teams in history. Teammate Scott Kemp also stops by to demonstrate the Ironmen's patented "Gauntlet" drill system. (5 total paintball video segements!)

Attakk Gear: SPLAT Girl Shay Lyn hosts the all new SPLATXD Attakk Gear section, where every issue the all-star blonde bomber talks about the hottest new gear on the market that you need to get your hands on. (6 total paintball video reviews!)

Firepower: The Spyder RSX - The new paintball gun review video show developed by SPLATXD, "Firepower" host Dave Araki writes up an in-depth review of the newest arachnid from the Spyder lair, and then heads to the field for some of the most complete video testing ever seen (2 total video segments, SHOT IN HD!)

Bonus Balls - Episode 1: The largest addition to the SPLATXD lineup, Bonus Balls is the new "Sportscenter" type paintball show where hosts Evan Money and our very own Chris IQ let loose the inside news, event recaps, and in-studio pro interviews. Over 17min in length, this episode of Bonus Balls features:

  • Chris Lasoya's Move to Aftermath
  • The NPPL buys Paintball.com
  • Event Coverage:
NPPL HB and Jacksonville (Includes discussions on who's poised to win it all, and possibly who's going to have to make the move down to semi-pro.)
  • In-Studio:
Dalton Vanderbyl: The Aftermath gunner and SPLAT Magazine 2007 Semi-Pro Player of the Year sits down with Evan Money to talk about their NPPL Jacksonville win, and what it takes to turn pro, and win.

PROTraits: A new paintball team profile section built using custom flash animation, PROTraits features one new pro team each month and gives you the background info on the members of your favorite pro-teams, complete with flash images of each member. This months PROtraits: The Ironmen.

Ask The Experts: Need professional help? The SPLATXD panel of experts, which includes Oliver Lang, Shawn Walker, and Michael "Blue" Hanse" are here to answer your need-to-know paintball questions. Read the experts answers to past questions and then submit your own, plus visit the "SPLAT Answers" archive and satisfy your need for paintball knowledge.

Water World: Can't play when the sun goes away? Think again. We produce the world's only indoor tsunami and show you the secrets to overcoming bad weather. (5 total paintball video segments)

Win A Infinity Legend: The title says it all!

Also In This Issue (Wait, you mean there's more?)

  • Quick Guide To Free Stuff
  • EXCLUSIVE FIRST COVERAGE: NPPL JACKSONVILLE
  • Ninja 101: Mastering the art of paintball stealth (Includes 5 total paintball video segments)
  • Physical Training For Ballers.
  • Double SPLAT Girl: Two SPLAT Girls, One Cup. (Includes Behind the Scenes Video)

SPECIAL PAINTBALL TOOLS: As you flip through SPLATXD, you'll notice a ton of little yellow buttons with different icons on them. These icons are meant to further the amount of paintball resources at your disposal, as each button takes you where you need to go to find more information on whatever topic your reading about. Here's a breakdown of the buttons and what they all mean.

Dollar Sign: Click here to go directly to the "Buy Now" page for this item.
Camera: Takes you to special photo galleries so you can see more photos on the subject.
Fist: Takes you to a related PBNation thread.
Question Mark: Links you directly to the host website of the company your reading about.
Letter: Send an email to a company/player/SPLAT Girl.
Myspace Logo: Visit the myspace pages of pro players and SPLAT Girls alike.
Eyeball: "See" additional info on this topic
Video Camera: "Watch" additional info on this topic.
RR: It's a secret, there's only one of this button in this issue.

SPLATXD Ads: All the ads in SPLATXD click-through directly back to the manufactures website. This way you don't have to wait to buy the hottest new goggles from JT, or find more info on the latest Stiffi barrel.

Maximizing Your SPLATXD Experience: Since SPLATXD features more paintball video than just about any other digital magazine in existence (Let alone paintball), load times may vary depending on your computer/internet speed. To help you out with this, we have set the smaller size videos to "Auto-play" meaning they'll start to play the second you turn to the page their on, while you'll need to hit play on the larger videos. This prevents too much content trying to buffer and load at once, which could drastically slow your experience. So if you come across a video and it doesn't automatically start to play, just click play on the toolbar.

Coming Soon: Coming next week, SPLATXD is changing host companies, which will result in double the loading speed and 25% larger pages, meaning the content will appear even bigger and better than it does now. We just want you to know that were constantly striving to have the pages load faster, look better, and just kick butt that much more.

Also, the biggest news to mention is that very soon, all SPLATXD content will be shot 100% in High-Def (HD) video, allowing for crystal clear pro-training, gun and product reviews, and other instructional video content. As soon as I know what issue this is going to start with I'll let you guys know.

Well, now that I've written the longest PBN News-Up ad in history, with no further ado, enjoy the first issue of SPLATXD.

Kingman Spyder VS3 or RSX

Q: I'm gonna buy a new marker, and I don't which marker is better, I have now an Spyder Pilot ACS and is a very good marker, I want to buy a better marker and I don't know which to choose between Spyder VS3 or the Spyder RSX both of spyder...

can anybody tell me which is better?

A1: No VS threads, but its all personal choice. i wouldn't ever buy a rocking trigger though. The Spyder RSX is like an updated Spyder VS paintball gun series so personally i would go RSX, but try both out before you make a decision.

A2: As far as your paintball marker choice goes it is personal preference. Shoot both the markers if you have the opportunity. Personally I would go with the RSX because it is the newer marker (release date wise) and is the most technologically advanced as far as kingman (spyder) markers go. It also doesn't have the rocking trigger which is again based on personal preference. I prefer not to shoot a rocking trigger but you might like them. Thats the importance of shooting a marker before buying it.

Spyder RSX Paintball Gun

The Spyder RSX paintball gun is built for the player that requires the very best in performance featuring the Tadao® Technologies Circuit Board combined with the operational benefits of the "3G" Technology Balanced Valve System. Designed to perform at the highest level of competition... 30 BPS Rate of Fire, low operating pressure, and customizing capabilites that were previously only available on high end markers. Manipulation of the air pressure through the Fast Charge Inline Regulator provides the RSX with a steady air flow for consistent shot to shot velocity even at extremely high rates of fire. Spyder VS2 RSX paintball gun (forum tales)

Spyder RS Series Paintball Guns

LostCause:
Limited Edition Spyder VS2 paintball gun, comes with a fast charging Inline Reg, Vented Pressure Relief on/off CA adapter, RSX Exclusive Platium Body Kit, and standered equiped with a Tadao board...

Its in the feburary issue of PB2X as a ad after the spyder cup coverage.

still looking for a online pic...

SupaSnipa:
Wow, sounds sweet, I just got the Feb. issue of APG and didnt hear anything about it.

LostCause:
the ca adapter is the ASA, looks mice ( i just want a Spyder VS2 paintball gun with that platium body kit lol, though my piolt acs was keeping up with my friends ion.....)

chnk:
first private label vs2?

xSoulsx:
Does it say how much it is?

LostCause:
no, it just said its coming soon, and i cant find any of the pics....dumb advertisment lied about it being on spyder.tv...ill look again

though if your good with mental pics, its a black VS2 with a platium body kit, and then RSX in red behing where it says VS2

spray and pray:
Ha. Got to love kingman. I called the operator and here is the exact words
I asked "I have been hearing rumors about a spyder vs2 rsx paintball gun, Is this true?"
they responded "I have never heard of such a thing in my life, It is a big rumor. We would never make a black vs2 with an upgraded body kit."

Pathetic isn't it? They just said it was a rumor and then they said it was a black vs2 with an upgraded body kit, strange.

The Pumper:
LOL.
Silly operators. :-)

spray and pray:
They are pathetic. I called and asked a question about a leak I had with my spyder vs2 paintball gun and they said "the macro line must not be on. The macro line the the little black hose that is connecting the regulator to the foregrip. That is the only thing that could cause a leak."
I just slowly hung up the phone and started laughing. But anyways Hopefully they will be selling the new bodies they have on the rsx.

VS2 King:
wait did you say anything about the black body and new body kit
if you didnt why would he say that
there must be a new vs2 coming out then kool :-)

LostCause:

Spyder VS2 RSX paintball gun

The Pumper:
Nothing special.
Trigger looks different but nothing else.

newkid:
wait... it has RS in black and X and red so is this an RS (x edition)?

DFSniper:
seems like it. so basically, the RS is a Spyder VS2 paintball gun w/ different trigger and color body kits (and supposedly slightly better internals...) finally kingman sheds some light...

chnk:
it looks like the vs3 without the shroud and a new trigger,

cool,
wait do i see a tadao board with it

spray and pray:
yes you do see a tadao board with it . This is the rs everyone is talking about. My guess is that there will be an RS edition for the vs1 and vs3 as well.

codymm1014:
Its a spyder with a new shaved down a little bit black body with new color kit, tadao board, new trigger, on/off asa, and inline reg. No word yet on whether the internals are different. I heard the price is supposed to be like 250 ish
