Free Paintball Stuff - Target Gift Card - Free $500 Target Gift Card

Twice a week ago I discovered interesting promotion - free $500 Target gift card. This Target promotion is available to anyone over 18, who live in US (there is geotargeting, so non US traffic is re-routed).
I already got mine.

With this gift card I got cool paintball stuff. It’s free and fun.
Reactor Electronic Paintball Marker — $199,99
Evolution Y-Board Paintball Loader — $84,99
Clear/Black Medium JT FX-10 Thermal Mask — $79,99
VL Pro Attitubes Black Medium Harness and Tubes — $19,99
Wild Streak 2000-ct. Orange Paintballs — $54,99
Wild Streak 2000-ct. Orange Paintballs — $54,99
NET JET Mission Paintball Instant Online Key — $3,99
Total: $498,93

For all interested.
All you have to do is to fill a rather simple questionnaire that Target's marketing department created (that's why they give you a free $500 Target gift card - to get marketing data to analyze). From what I understand, this Target promotion will end some time next week, so you better grab this card while you can.

You may choose other paintball gifts or other items from Target catalog for your free $500 Target gift card.

About Target

Target's first store opened in Roseville, Minnesota, in 1962. Its on-trend merchandise at affordable prices launched a new era in discount retailing. This "T-1" store was easy to shop, attractive and always clean. It served as the prototype for every Target store opened since then, and it changed how consumers think about discount shopping.

Spyder Pilot ACS upgrade

Q: So, tell me what I should upgrade with a stock Spyder Pilot ACS paintball marker. Only thing I have gotten for it, is a Halo hopper, but it doesnt even come with a hopper, so really thats the only upgrade I have gotten for it. I also have my eye on a 14 in. barrel, but I want to know if there are any better bolts, or better hand grips that I can get.

A: Most upgrades are personal preference. With a Spyder Pilot already electric, the closest thing to new grips you would want to get would be new grip panels, and those really don't make much of a difference. And as far as bolts go, you would only want a new one to decrease the weight of the paintball marker, which isn't by more than a few grams. You may want to look into a new feedneck, as well as a new board possibly. Depending on the barrel you have, you may want to get one with inserts or different back ends so you can match paint-to-bore better.

Spyder RS Series Teaser

Spyder presents the all new RS, and RSX paintball guns. Operational at 300 PSI the Spyder RS paintball gun runs at a low working pressure reducing premature paintball breaks from air impacting the surface of the paintball. "SE Technology" or Synergy Engineered Technology products can run either CO2 or Compressed Air. Manipulation of the air pressure through the Fast Charge Inline Regulator provides the Spyder RS with a steady air flow for consistent shot to shot velocity even at extremely high rates of fire. The Spyder RSX paintball gun comes with all the standard RS features including a Tadao Technologies Circuit Board, and Platinum body kit.

Available in stores March 1st, 2008

Barrel for MR1 Spyder paintball gun

I just bought a MR1 Spyder and I was wondering what was the best barrel for balance between Long Distance and Close Combat play. Of course, accuracy and as less noise as possible is a must.

Despite what you want a paintball marker will never be as accurate or consistant as a real weapon. There also isn't really a "perfect balance" between long and short distance. It really has to do with pressure. How a spyder paintball gun works is that when you pull the trigger gas pushes the ball out of the chamber and down the barrel. After a short while the ball will reach its terminal velocity (fastest speed an object can travel) and it will only slow down from there. Excess porting (makes your gun quieter) in a barrel with lower your ability to fire far distances because the gas is escaping and not getting the ball moving as fast. With that being said the ideal barrel length is 14 in. What you can do is go to Actionvillage.com and go to the paintball section (AV is the same thing as pbgear.com). From there you click on the barrels and you will need a "spyder" threaded barrel. There you can pick from a multitude of barrels. Depending on your budget there are barrels that are for the rec baller and for the pro player. I suggest getting a 14 in barrel from smart parts or a 14 in barrel from J&J.

What length would you say would be best for a straight sniper in woodsball?
Also, i am seeing that there are different caliber barrels. What is up what that

There is really no such thing as a "paintball sniper". The trajectory of a paintball is too inconsistant to expect any thing close to the acuracy of a real bullet. As far as the inconsistant caliber goes thats really called "bore". The bore of a barrel can vary slightly from barrel to barrel and in the higher end kits you can actually change it with different inserts. Paintballs are all made differently which causes slight variations on size. Now what the pros do is they figure out what bore the paint they are using is and they adjust their barrels to it. This helps with accuracy and efficency because the paint is a better fit to the inside of the barrel. I still reccomend just a 14 inch smartparts or J&J barrel. I personally use a J&J on my spyder and it has served me well over the years.

Are Spider Paintball Guns Good Markers?

That really depends. Most Spider paintball guns are good for people that only play paintball every month or so.

One of the things that is bad about spider paintball markers is that they are Very UNaccurate. The velocity consistency is HORRIBLE on most of them and they break very easily.

The good things about them is that they are cheap paintball gun and a few of them are pretty nice for scenario games. If I was to get a spider gun, I would probably get an Spider MR3 Paintball Gun.

The spider markers also use a good amount of air from your tank. That's not very good for people that are using just about any air system.

If you have a spider paintball gun I would highly recommend that you upgrade it to about a $250-400 gun — Spider VS3 paintball gun

LostCause:
Limited Edition Spyder VS2 paintball gun, comes with a fast charging Inline Reg, Vented Pressure Relief on/off CA adapter, RSX Exclusive Platium Body Kit, and standered equiped with a Tadao board...

Its in the feburary issue of PB2X as a ad after the spyder cup coverage.

still looking for a online pic...

SupaSnipa:
Wow, sounds sweet, I just got the Feb. issue of APG and didnt hear anything about it.

LostCause:
the ca adapter is the ASA, looks mice ( i just want a Spyder VS2 paintball gun with that platium body kit lol, though my piolt acs was keeping up with my friends ion.....)

chnk:
first private label vs2?

xSoulsx:
Does it say how much it is?

LostCause:
no, it just said its coming soon, and i cant find any of the pics....dumb advertisment lied about it being on spyder.tv...ill look again

though if your good with mental pics, its a black VS2 with a platium body kit, and then RSX in red behing where it says VS2

spray and pray:
Ha. Got to love kingman. I called the operator and here is the exact words
I asked "I have been hearing rumors about a spyder vs2 rsx paintball gun, Is this true?"
they responded "I have never heard of such a thing in my life, It is a big rumor. We would never make a black vs2 with an upgraded body kit."

Pathetic isn't it? They just said it was a rumor and then they said it was a black vs2 with an upgraded body kit, strange.

The Pumper:
LOL.
Silly operators. :-)

spray and pray:
They are pathetic. I called and asked a question about a leak I had with my spyder vs2 paintball gun and they said "the macro line must not be on. The macro line the the little black hose that is connecting the regulator to the foregrip. That is the only thing that could cause a leak."
I just slowly hung up the phone and started laughing. But anyways Hopefully they will be selling the new bodies they have on the rsx.

VS2 King:
wait did you say anything about the black body and new body kit
if you didnt why would he say that
there must be a new vs2 coming out then kool :-)

LostCause:

Spyder VS2 RSX paintball gun

The Pumper:
Nothing special.
Trigger looks different but nothing else.

newkid:
wait... it has RS in black and X and red so is this an RS (x edition)?

DFSniper:
seems like it. so basically, the RS is a Spyder VS2 paintball gun w/ different trigger and color body kits (and supposedly slightly better internals...) finally kingman sheds some light...

chnk:
it looks like the vs3 without the shroud and a new trigger,

cool,
wait do i see a tadao board with it

spray and pray:
yes you do see a tadao board with it . This is the rs everyone is talking about. My guess is that there will be an RS edition for the vs1 and vs3 as well.

codymm1014:
Its a spyder with a new shaved down a little bit black body with new color kit, tadao board, new trigger, on/off asa, and inline reg. No word yet on whether the internals are different. I heard the price is supposed to be like 250 ish

ACS — Anti-Chop SystemThe revolutionary Anti-Chop System is the world's first true anti-chop bolt. Simple affordable, the ACS bolt delivers the same results as expensive paintball markers with eyes. Just replace your existing bolt with the ACS bolt... simple as that! The ACS precision spring tension rtcognizes obstructions before crushing balls and jamming the paintball marker, so the action never stops.

Spyder Paintball Guns

The ACS Bolt comes stock on the following paintball markers:
Spyder Electra w/Rocking Trigger, Spyder Fenix ACS, Spyder Pilot ACS, and Spyder MR2 paintball gun

The ACS Bolt greatly enhances to reduce chopping paintballs in the paintball marker. Due to the condition of different quality and size paintballs, and hopper speed, there is no complete way to eliminate this.

Spyder Pilot Paintball Gun

Omegara:
I just recently got a spyder pilot paintball gun and am wondering about afew things. First, I got a new clamping feed neck and a fasta hopper (I know, I should have gone halo b) Plus I have some dye stickies on the way. What are some other good upgrades? I hear a lot about the T-board though that doesn't seem to have the CAMD which I like lol. And the magna port valve. I saw a picture of the valve and there seems to be much less material between the o-rings, what is the advantage of this valve? And one other question. I still seem to be chopping balls a little. I have the ACS (ACS — Anti-Chop System) and a fasta 9v hopper, the gun is only shooting 11bps in full auto (according to my chrono anyway) and the hopper supposedly feeds 15bps, any ideas? I use the sterling REC paint and it was a little chilly outside coudl that have anything to do with it??

xXBloodLustACXx:
If you need to shoot faster than the 20 bps board can handle or you really want ramping, get a T-board. Otherwise, not necessary at all, so you can keep your CAMD display (I have to admit I thought it was awesome too when I had a Spyder paintball gun =P)

The Magnaport valve or any other aftermarket valve will increase air flow and allow you to lower your operating pressure, but you would also need to buy a new front block, regulator, and spring kit. Trust me, not worth it to do all that. If you want a low pressure gun, you are better off getting a Spyder VS2 paintball gun.

You could be chopping if the paint isn't too good or maybe the weather, but probably just because the ACS bolt is garbage. Mine worked well, but many have problems until it's broken in. take the bolt out and you'll see that you can compress it because it has a spring in the middle. Either compress it 1000s of times while watching TV or keep it compressed and wedge it between two things to break in the spring. This might help, might not. If you're open to buying a nice bolt, I recommend the ACP 3 o-ring bolt for about $20.

Overall, I wouldn't put much more money into your Pilot because you can get a Spyder VS2 paintball gun with eyes and a much lower operating pressure for only $160. If you were to try to achieve the same results it would probably cost you double that, so keep it mildly upgraded and use it until you feel ready to move on.

^^ Agreed, but you should look into a new barrel as well. I recommend if you don't want to spend alot of money and get a great barrel to get the Tribal Stix barrel. Its lighter than a Dye Ultralite and shoots as nice. you can get them on ebay for $40.

Omegara:
Well the VS2 doesn't use Co2 but I have looked at them and the Spyder VS3 paintball gun. But will stick with my pilot for now. I have yet to actually play any speedball so I will try this one out and see if I even like speedball. I am mostly a tippmann/woodsball guy. But thanks for the info guys.
